The Title Of The Show Is “Bubbly Brown Sugar.” And as the name suggests, it’s about love, sex and every succulent thing in between. But it’s so much more than a series about relationships and toe curling sex with smoking hot brown people.
This is Serendipity meets How I Met Your Mother, magical like Amelie and quirky like Chewing Gum. This is a story about the journey of two soulmates destined to find one another in this lifetime.
Now, these two are not your average soulmates that are meeting in human form just to pass the time until the next incarnation. These two have been together since the beginning of time. Their souls have chosen to be reborn only to experience the delight and sheer thrill of finding one another over and over again for an eon.
But as evolved as their souls may be, the human part of them don’t have a clue about what they’re doing and are just trying to figure out this thing called life – just like everyone else on this bloody rock. But no matter how often they fall flat on their faces, it is only a matter of time before they stumble into each other’s arms. It is their destiny.
I want to tell a modern fairy tale about a beautiful young woman and her one true love.
They don’t have to battle evils in a mythical kingdom, but they each must ready themselves in their respective ways, before they can meet. So, what does that mean? The lovers in our story must learn how to stop poking the shit that exists in their lives, so they can move on with it.
We can all relate to that – and how hard that can freaking be. There’s just something so addicting about playing in our own poop. The tone of the show is melodramatic at times, with this quirky/raunchy humor, and a shit ton of love – hell this is a romantic dramedy after all.
